Dear sir/madam,
All Arabs demand an immediate release of Dweik and all
detainees captured by Israel.
We, people of the Arab world, demand an immediate
release of Aziz Dweik, the Speaker of Palestinian –
ELECTED – Parliament, and of all Palestinian MP hostages
captured by the Israeli Government.
We
denounce such act, an act which can only be given the
term: "kidnapping." Kidnapping hostages, especially when
they are members of an elected government, is an act of
terrorism, resembling none other than acts of the mafia.
It
is no secret that the Israeli police forced Mr. Dweik to
take an unknown pill, bringing him severe health
problems.
Members of the legitimate Hamas Government are captured
and tried for false accusations. They are being isolated
and no one is aware of what is happening to them.
Such acts are against all the International Law; law
which Israel does not consider applicable to itself.
We
wish to direct a question to the international
community: When will Israel cease to consider itself
above all International Law?
And what is the international community going to do
about it?
How could it perceive Israel as a democratic state while
it does not respect the simple concept of democracy?
Hamas has followed legitimate methods and has won the
Palestinian elections. Yet, its members are being
kidnapped and humiliated.
What is the meaning of all this?
It
can only mean that the so-called “legitimate methods”
are, in fact, useless, and that violence is more
justified… Don’t you think this is true?
yours,
